We are Committed to a Healthy Gym!
All program offerings have been updated and modified in accordance with California Department of Public Health and Marin Health and Human Services guidance. Please note, City of Novato Parks & Recreation conditions are subject to change.
Face Coverings Optional
At this time, participants and staff can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their own personal level of risk.
All masks are not the same. Check out the video above for a handy way to improve the fit of disposable masks for our young participants.
Wellness Standard
Please stay home when you are sick! Participants exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to participate in class. Cold and flu-like symptoms include but are not limited to the following: fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue.
Staff reserve the right to accept or decline participants based on their assessment and discretion of any apparent signs or symptoms of illness. Thank you for your understanding.
Hand Hygiene
We strongly recommend handwashing (with soap and water) before and after class. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout our facility.
Spectators Upstairs
Space for spectators is limited. Spectators are welcome to watch classes from our upstairs viewing area. Thank you for keeping our entrance and lobby areas clear.
Regular Cleaning
In addition to regular custodial service, staff will continue to engage in enhanced and regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces and gymnastics equipment.
Should your child test positive for COVID-19, please notify Novato Gymnastics staff by emailing gymnastics@novato.org. Novato Gymnastics will send exposure notices via email to the specific class or classes impacted.
Notification
Please follow all guidance provided by your health care provider. Additionally, refer to Isolation and Precautions for COVID-19 provided by Marin County Health and Human Services.
Participants may return to gymnastics when they start to feel better, meaning that their symptoms are mild and improving, and they have not had a fever for a full day (24 hours) without the use of fever reducing medication. All individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 should wear a mask around others when indoors for 10 days from when symptoms started or the positive test date (if no symptoms).
