An Opportunity to Thrive

Novato Gymnasts experience many challenges, privileges, and lessons through their quest for success. In the competition arena and out, these young ladies pursue their dreams to be their best, develop character, and enjoy an active lifestyle. The competitive experience can be a wonderful process that perpetuates the chance to play in the gym and learn life discipline that sticks with gymnasts for many years to come. They also have a lot of fun in the process!

Lasting Memories

The Novato Gymnastics Team provides the chance to develop close bonds with teammates and coaches. Many team gymnasts spend their competitive years in the gym with others they started their careers with. There is something very special about sharing a passion with teammates who share similar goals, challenges, and experiences.

Classic Traditions

Since 2000, the Novato Gymnastics Team has enjoyed competing at home at the Novato Classic. This is a special experience that is a highlight of every gymnast’s career, and is typically shared with plenty of family and friends. It is also a showcase of our strong community effort to host this event, and pride we have in our Team!

Other traditions include a Team Awards Banquet, Holiday Party, and other opportunities that make being part of the Team special.

Community Effort

Novato Gymnastics Boosters has been an important partner since 1999. NGB has donated nearly $500,000 over the years to the City of Novato, in its effort to support a high quality gymnastics program, and volunteered time and effort to run the traditional Novato Gymnastics Classic.

NGB has been recognized by City Proclamation by the Novato City Council for its outstanding contributions to the City of Novato. NGB has been received Community Service Awards in 2010 and 2018 by the California Parks and Recreation Society. Most recently, the City of Novato presented a City Proclamation to NGB for its community support of the Gymnastics program.

NGB has donated $10,000 in 2022 and 2023 to the Gift of Gymnastics, a financial aid program designed to support those in need for access to Novato Gymnastics programming. Novato Gymnastics Boosters continues to support Novato Gymnastics in a variety of ways.

Taking the Lead

The Novato Gymnastics Team has built a tradition of flipping experience and knowledge into opportunity. Former gymnasts, and especially Team gymnasts, have proven to be strong candidates for our extensive training program, and learn how to teach gymnastics in our camps, preschool and recreational classes. Mentored by our master staff, these trainees learn communication, class management, and basic employee practices, and often extend a passion into meaningful employment.

Over the years, dozens of current and former team members have become skilled gymnastics instructors. While gymnasts develop job skills and more for their future, we are proud for the chance to empower our leaders of tomorrow.

Giving Back

Since 2007, the Team and its families have partnered with Adopt a Family of Marin to help make life easier for families in need during the Holidays. The Team “adopts” families, fulfills numerous items on their wish lists, and wraps the gifts for the individual recipients. This meaningful gesture gives the Team a chance to help others, and is but one of the ways it stays connected to the local community.

The Team has also been active in supporting the recreational program, and volunteering to help run numerous program events.
